We both loved this book and wanted to give you a little teaser to get you into it as well! Review (spoiler-free) Emma in the Night by Wendy Walker is a psychological thriller about two girls who go missing and a forensic psychiatrist who is tasked with unraveling the mystery behind their disappearances. While the concept of this book is really neat, I didn’t really care for it, unfortunately. Emma in the Night is truly twisted & thrilling read! It’s hard to give this one a long review without giving too much away. Wendy Walker sets up some things pretty early on, but you don’t exactly know when things are going to happen and the full extent to which they occur.

Emma in the Night kept my interest as it weaved its way through past and present and told the story of 2 girls and a manipulative mother. Now, we've all known those people who know how to manipulate others, but Emma in the Night added in multiple perspectives and timeframes in a seamless way that keeps you going, wondering who is telling the truth. Since GR seems to be fully functional (fingers crossed), I have finally posted my review! Emma in the Night is a chilling psychological thriller about the stories people create in order to survive. Sisters Emma and Cass had to endure their mother’s narcissistic personality throughout their childhood.

My Takeaway So right off the top, I didn’t enjoy Emma in the Night like I thought I would. I felt the story dragged and I struggled a bit to finish it.
